Kansas City Chiefs Acknowledge Alleged Abuse Allegations Connected to Player the Athlete
The NFL franchise released a comment Wednesday night stating they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations made public in social media posts by a former girlfriend of wide receiver Rashee Rice and had been in communication with the NFL.
The team did not mention the player by name in their statement and stated they would have “no further comment at this time”.

Dacoda Nichole Jones, who also did not mention the athlete by name, shared a set of images on Instagram that appeared to show indicators of bodily harm. Rice's Prior Off-Field Troubles
Rice missed the first six games of this season following an league-mandated ban for his role in causing a crash on a Texas roadway that left multiple people injured. He was given 30 days in jail and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to felony charges.
On the field, Rice concluded the year with 53 receptions for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Chiefs went with a losing record and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first occasion in a ten-year span.
