More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the couple.
Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director
Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt prepared to share openly about his deep grief.
"Enough time has passed that I can at last put my grief into words," shared Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced passing more hours together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."
The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the film, adding that he could not remember "one day without laughter".
"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Values that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes continued.
He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."
Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade
In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.
"Right away, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.
Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.
"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.
Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted
Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to bar the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.
A judicial mandate put a embargo on the investigation to limit the public release of "all case details, notes, reports or photos" connected to the ongoing investigation.
The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a official listing citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Following the killings, public personalities expressed different reactions.
Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making provocative remarks that were broadly criticized by several individuals.
Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the critics recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan labeled the remarks as "shocking" and suggested they demonstrated a troubling absence of compassion.
Rogan concluded by proposing that an associate ought to have intervened when the decision to speak on the passing was made.
