David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the publisher said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards young women.
The company has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works altogether, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
