Barça Set to Play Historic Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga over two years following their departure so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized a public practice on the home pitch earlier this month. They mentioned approval is being pursued from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht in December at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
